development by the Goverment. One of the major development is the
Gulmarg Gondola, which goes upto 4000M. Compared to heli skiing in
Gulmarg. . Gulmarg is the best Skiing resort in Himalayas India. It
is also the only skiing resort in Kashmir.
Skiing in Gulmarg
Kashmir was first introduced in 1927 by two british officers. Gulmarg
is on Cognoscenti's Hot list. Having a run of 200 meters, are the best
for beginners. While the steeper run of 500 meters for intermediate
level skiers. And yet another stretch of over 2500 meters
precipitously steep for top level extreme skiing in Gulmarg Kashmir
India.
Being the first
destination in Asia to provide High Adventure Skiing in Gulmarg
Kashmir which has made more popular among skiers. Heli skiing in
Gulmarg usually takes on a top of Sunshine peak where one can ski down
to Drang. Skiers in Gulmarg have more options like tree skiing in
Gulmarg & off piste skiing in Gulmarg which goes down from Gulmarg to
Baba Rishi. This option is usually used by skiers when the Gondola is
closed due to bad weather of Electricity failure.
Recently Snowboarding in Gulmarg has also become very popular & a lot of skiers of
different age group from all around the world arriving in Gulmarg, and
finding it very interesting. Gulmarg will soon be one of the top
International skiing resorts in the world.
